World Archery Philippines World Archery Philippines is the national governing body for archery in the Philippines. It used to be known as the Philippine Archers’ National Network and Alliance (PANNA) and the Archery Federation of the Philippines prior to that. It is accredited by the World Archery Federation, the governing body for the sport of archery in the world.

SOUTHEAST Asian Games 2011 archery gold medal winner Dondon Sombrio gave the Cebu Archery Club its second gold medal after topping the Men’s Compound Masters Division in the ongoing 2016 Philippine National Outdoor Archery Championship, Philippine Ranking & 2016 Olympics Trial 1 at the San Pedro Calungsod Templete at the South Reclamation Properties.
Sombrio, who is also the secretary general of the World Archery Philippines, scored a total of 642 points to claim the gold medal. He left his closest competitor Karl Francis Achacoso of FR Sevilla Archery Club of Quezon City with the silver medal after the latter scored a total of 602 points through two rounds yesterday.
The day, however, belonged to Flor Matan, a member of the Philippine National team, who won the gold medal in the Men’s Recurve Senior division for shooting a total of 619 points.
Matan defeated upstart Luis Gabriel Moreno, who settled for the silver medal with 602 points.
Matan kept his lead while Moreno, the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics gold medalist, had a lackluster game in the first round held last Friday afternoon.
Matan scored 309 points in the first round and capped it with the day’s best 310 points in the second round.
Dranz Barbin copped the bronze medal after firing 545 points.
In the women’s side, the gold was won by Mary Queen Ybañez of the La Union Archery Association of La Union, Pangasinan after scoring a total of 593 points after two rounds.
Rachelle Anne Dela Cruz of FR Sevilla Archery Club bagged the silver medal for her 589 points and Kareel Meer Hongitan of University of Baguio Archery Club settled for the bronze medal with 580 points.
The other gold medal winners include Jose Ferdinand Adriano of Aim-X archery, who won the Men’s Compound Senior; Atanacio Pellicer III who won the Boys Junior Recurve gilt; and Loren Chleo Balooing, who won the Girls Junior Recurve.
