World Archery Philippines World Archery Philippines is the national governing body for archery in the Philippines. It used to be known as the Philippine Archers’ National Network and Alliance (PANNA) and the Archery Federation of the Philippines prior to that. It is accredited by the World Archery Federation, the governing body for the sport of archery in the world.
Together with Columbia University teammate Julie Hoffmann, Philippine SEA Games veteran Bianca Gotuaco was recently selected to the very exclusive US NCAA Academic All-American Team. Beyond mere athletic prowess, the Academic All-American Team epitomizes the true essence of a student-athlete.
The All-American Academic Team is composed of the Top 10 archers in each Division and Class based on the following criteria:
- Archer must have been eligible to shoot in the 2016 Spring semester (Full time student).
- Required Cumulative GPA of 3.0 for Undergraduate Students and 3.5 for Graduate Students through fall semester 2015
- Take the top 25% (ranked by score) of each division and class from U.S. Indoor Nationals. Archers are then ranked by GPA (a tie on GPA will be broken by the score from the U.S. National Indoor Championships).
This accolade caps off Gotuaco’s successful freshman season in the US that also saw her make it to the All-American and All-East Region teams in archery.
