World Archery Philippines World Archery Philippines is the national governing body for archery in the Philippines. It used to be known as the Philippine Archers’ National Network and Alliance (PANNA) and the Archery Federation of the Philippines prior to that. It is accredited by the World Archery Federation, the governing body for the sport of archery in the world.
The first ever Philippine National Outdoor Archery Championships under the newly formed World Archery Philippines is fast approaching and tournament organizers have set a deadline of February 20, 2016 for interested participants. Click here to view WAP memo on registration deadline
In what is also intended to be an evaluation and ranking tournament for national archers eyeing a slot in the Olympic trials slated in July, the tournament scheduled from February 25-28 is expected to draw most of the top archers in the country. In an effort to draw more participants from the southern region, WAP secretary general Rosendo Sombrio fought hard to bring this prestigious tournament to the vibrant city of Cebu. To add spice to the tournament, team events are slated on the last day. Owing to a general clamor for different clubs to field a common team, organizers are now allowing members from different clubs to form a team of 3 archers for the team events. Also in the works, though not yet final, is the possibility of a mixed team event to be included on the penultimate day of the tournament.
