World Archery Philippines World Archery Philippines is the national governing body for archery in the Philippines. It used to be known as the Philippine Archers’ National Network and Alliance (PANNA) and the Archery Federation of the Philippines prior to that. It is accredited by the World Archery Federation, the governing body for the sport of archery in the world.
Effective February 1, 2016, World Archery Philippines will be requiring all members (archers, coaches and officials) to register online in the association’s brand new website. This initiative by the WAP board is intended to systematize and enhance the registration experience of stakeholders in future WAP-sanctioned tournaments as all members will be assigned his/her own permanent membership number and membership card. According to WAP Secretary General Rosendo Sombrio, only WAP-registered members will be allowed to participate in WAP-sanctioned tournaments starting with the Philippine National Open in end-February.
Beginning also this year, a minimal annual membership fee of PHP200 for under 18-year-old public school students and PHP500 for private school students/adults will be collected to help defray membership card and other registration-related expenses. As extra perks for WAP members, the same membership card will also serve as a benefits and discount card in the very near future. This early, merchant partners like Benel Industries and Gandiva Archery & Cafe have already signified their interest to offer discounts for their retail products and archery range fees, respectively.
On the other hand, for club registration, previously registered clubs under the old PANNA will be carried over to WAP. However, old clubs are still required to register online and pay the annual registration fee to renew their WAP-registered club status. The previous club fee of P1,500 shall remain unchanged.
